Yes, they did. Made in Spain and mainly sold there, it was a 5 with the addition of a three box, four door body and steel rather than plastic bumpers because more upmarket.
That meant that Renault made everything from 4 to 21 except 13 because would you buy a car called a 13?

Didn’t they make a Renault 3 as well? A low power 4 if I’m not mistaken?
Also, I’ve never managed to find any logic in Renault’s numbering, apart from that luxurious versions tend to get a +2
Luxurious 4 -> R6
Lux urious 8 -> 10
Luxurious 15 -> 17
But the 11 was just a hatch version of the 9, and the 7 was a sedan version of the 5 so that makes it even more confusing...

Generally speaking, new models would get larger numbers than before, and larger cars had larger numbers than small cars.
Curbside Classic goes into great detail about it, and the site itself is great too.
